We are proud to welcome Mackenzie Jacobson to our established team of medical providers. Mackenzie is a certified nurse practitioner who can provide primary, acute and specialty healthcare services to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
“We’re excited that Mackenzie has joined our team of providers,” said Dr. Troy Edwards, founder and president of Colonnade Medical Group. “Mackenzie has diverse clinical experience and has continued her clinical training to become a nurse practitioner. We’re also thrilled that she, as a Baltimore native and current Lancaster resident, shares a passion for caring for our community.”
Certified nurse practitioners are becoming an increasingly valuable and reliable partner in the medical provider teams of physician groups across the country. A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an autonomous clinician whose role is to manage their patients’ health conditions and prevent disease. They undergo advanced clinical training that enables them to examine patients, diagnose illnesses, treat conditions, order or perform diagnostic testing, prescribe medications and provide evidence-based education to their patients. In Ohio, CNPs work under a collaborating physician.
“I’m honored to join the Colonnade Medical Group team and look forward to building long-lasting relationships with my patients,” Mackenzie said. “I like to connect with my patients on a personal level and value being able to put them at ease, and ultimately, to helping them feel better. I am excited to make an impact in the overall health of our community.”
